In response to the preliminary report of John Snow Incorporated (JSI), Nashvillians for Metro General (NFMG) has issued a letter to JSI outlining the places of support, as well as our concerns. While we generally applaud the overall scope and tone of the JSI report, we believe that serious challenges remain, including the status of the Bordeaux and Knowles long term care facilities, adequate funding of the hospital system, and dealing with ongoing struggles in the Meharry/Nashville General partnership. Here is a PDF copy of our letter, which was sent to JSI and other stakeholders in evaluating Metro General’s future:
